Suzane has joined Fuse Recruitment in the Melbourne office as a Marketing Assistant. Her strengths lie in content creation which is coupled with her background in recruitment marketing and customer service.

Day One

I met everyone in the Melbourne office and felt very welcomed. Everyone in the team was very friendly and inviting.

There was a bit of housekeeping but after that, I learned how to create capability statements for our consultants and then got straight to work.

I also learned that I need to wear a lot of layers because the office is FREEZINGG!

Day Two

Got my first win after creating a capability statement to help Mathew ter Haar land a big new account!

I learned how to create job images through Canva, how to upload new member profiles to the website and continued smashing out capability statements for the team.

I also started my first blog for Fuse! Writing is what I’m most comfortable with and really enjoy doing so I was really excited to start this.

Day Three

I continued with blogs and capability statements on my third day. The most memorable part of the day would have to be at the end when we had a casual meeting to discuss what we’d learned throughout the week or mention our highlights. The meeting was fun because it was all for fun was a good break between the working week and the weekend.

The team take part in something called ‘Magician of the Week’ where they put a vote in for a team member who has performed well that week. I felt like I was instantly a part of the team when I was nominated. Leah F even wrote a rap for me!

The people at Fuse really know how to make you feel like a valuable member of the team and know how to have a good time.

Day Four

Over the long weekend, I was keen to come back into the office. I enjoyed my first week and saw on the onboarding schedule that there was so much more to learn.

I had a meeting with Cameron, our Manager who looks after the Insurance and Wealth Management channel of Fuse, to discuss the company’s strategy and learn more about the Insurance channel strategy. There are a lot of things happening at Fuse and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of it.

Day Five

Wednesday was my first day working without Nicole, the marketing manager, but I had no issues and wasn’t worried about anything because the rest of the team were there to help if I needed anything.

Leah F taught me how to send video interviews to our candidates.

It was time to start doing competitor analyses and it was interesting to see what there was to learn from other players in the industry.
