Looking to gain practical experience to complement your studies? Fuse Recruitment’s internship program allows you to gain first-hand knowledge of recruitment and talent acquisition from a reputable external recruitment agency with national operations.

You’ll receive exposure to the entire cycle of the recruitment process while working alongside some of the most successful recruitment professionals in the industry. You’ll help provide talent solutions for some of Australia’s largest and most well-known companies.

Learning opportunities include:

  • Resume & telephone screening
  • Candidate interviews
  • Creating candidate profiles
  • Reference checking
  • Performing police checks & working rights checks
  • Participating in sales meetings
  • Ensuring the business is compliant
  • Exposure to industry-leading recruitment software

Ideally, you will be available for a minimum of 2 days a week, however, we can accommodate more if interested. There will be a total of 150 contact hours completed in our internship program and all training will be provided.

Even better, there may be a full-time position upon completion of your studies. This is your gateway to a career in Recruitment!

But what makes us the right choice for you?

We are a specialised recruitment business; recruiting within the Infrastructure, Utilities, Manufacturing and Insurance & Wealth Management sectors. We provide our clients with a top-to-bottom service, meaning you’ll get a lot of variety in your day to day work – no two days are the same.

Our team is fun and vibrant – we like to think of ourselves as a fruit salad; people from all over the world, with different backgrounds, cultures and personalities. We share in our successes and support each other along the way.

What do our previous Interns have to say about our program?

Meet another previous Brisbane intern; now Recruitment Resourcer: Victoria Chin

“… I completed Fuse’s internship program in 2017 and really enjoyed having the opportunity to learn how recruitment operates from all angles. From the start, I received a lot of support from the team and got the opportunity to work alongside a fun mix of experienced professionals. Along the way, I’ve gained many insights into recruitment processes thanks to their close guidance. I’m grateful for Fuse for welcoming me into their family and preparing me for my professional career after graduation…”

Meet previous Sydney intern; now Recruitment Resourcer: Kristina Gerges

“… I joined the Fuse family as an intern and what a journey it has been since. From the very first day, I was shown tremendous support from the team, not only in Sydney but inter-state also. I was exposed to many aspects of recruitment and began building great candidate relationships. In July 2018 I was offered a full-time position where I officially joined the Fuse family as a permanent employee. I am constantly challenged and encouraged to go beyond my comfort zone. My time with Fuse so far has been an ongoing learning journey and I look forward to continuing on this road!…”

Meet our previous Sydney intern; now Recruitment Resourcer: Anastasia Watson

“… In my internship at Fuse Recruitment, I found myself in a comfortable environment, everyone was really welcoming even in the other offices! It was a shock when I first began because my previous role was in hospitality, so I was used to an informal environment where I was on my feet all day. Transitioning into a completely different role couldn’t have been any easier due to the support I had from Melanie, Kristina and Julie. I couldn’t be more thankful for the things that they have taught me as well as their patience. But I would have to say this internship has taught me ALOT! There is so much to learn, and I am very happy here and would recommend working for the company! The best thing about Fuse is the work culture and training provided…”

Meet our previous Brisbane intern:  Laura Robins

“… Fuse Intern program isn’t like most others. They are truly behind providing young professionals with some real work experience in recruitment. My team in Brisbane in particular got me involved very early on with resourcing, pre-screening and reference checks. I think because of my drive; the managers saw some potential and wanted me full time whilst completing my final semester of my degree. The internship assisted landing the Recruitment Resourcer and gave me time to learn the ropes of recruitment in a supportive and learning environment. I would highly recommend apply for the Fuse Intern program and see where your recruitment career can go…”

Meet our previous Melbourne intern:  Tina Vo

“… I started the internship program in Oct 2018. I’ve never worked in an office environment before, so this was all completely new to me, but the two days a week that I was there, I enjoyed every minute of it. Everyone here was extremely welcoming and friendly, they taught me the skills to further develop in this role and offered me practical experience and knowledge of the recruitment process. After successfully completing the internship program, I was offered a full-time position after showing my interest as a Recruitment Resourcer and was particularly keen to start my journey in this career. The internship program really helped me understand the recruitment process, allowed me to build relationships with candidates, improved on my communication skills and built my confidence…”
